Floyd Raymond Barton

Floyd Raymond Barton, 86, of Topeka passed away on July 5, 2013 at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. Floyd was born April 15, 1927, in Newton, Missouri, the son of William Grant and Rosie Ellen (Stockton) Barton. Floyd proudly served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 and 1948-1950 achieving the rank of Seaman First Class. He was a masonry and brick contractor and owned an appliance and t.v. sales and repair shop. Floyd married Dolores Mae (Morris) Barton on April 29, 1949, spending 64 wonderful years with her. Other survivors include their sons; Lloyd Gene Henson and wife JoAnne of Phoenix, Arizona’s, William Owen Barton and wife Peggy of Topeka, and Floyd Raymond Barton, Jr. of Topeka, daughters LeAna Rose (Barton) Shannon and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Joyce Elaine (Barton) Chase of Tulsa, Oklahoma, 20 grandchildren,38 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
