Unbelievable

It’s been a while since my last post!  A lot has happened but I guess nothing really out of the ordinary worth posting?  Well today we had some training.  We had the Firearms Stress course (pretty cool), Less Lethal and Shotgun qualifications.  Later we had a course on Racial Profiling, and OC refresher course, and lastly the expandable baton refresher.  Most of the training was same as usual, except for during the firearms stress course.  The course starts out with the .223 rifle behind a patrol car.  As most of you know, the barrel of the rifle heats up during use.  After shooting the rifle it is to be laid on the ground while you run through the rest of the course.  At one point we returned to find a mouse had taken up residency on top of the barrel (apparently to keep warm).  Apparently the mouse must be a member of the NRA because he refused to leave the gun.  Seems a little unbelievable but it’s completely true.  Where’s a camera when you need it!
